Two fires hit Tisa, Cebu City; hurt 3
Two fires ripped through Barangay Tisa in Cebu City on Monday, causing over P1.6 million in damage and injuring three people. The first fire struck a single house, affecting three families and causing minimal damage. The second fire, significantly larger, engulfed nine houses, leaving eight completely destroyed and one partially damaged. Fifteen families, totaling 75 individuals, were affected by the second fire. Forest fires break out in Cordillera
The latest forest fire incident engulfed Mount Santo Tomas in Benguet, burning areas of Sitio Cabuyao in Tuba town. Strong winds and dry conditions caused the rapid spread of flames across the mountainside. This blaze came amidst over 200 hectares already impacted by fires across the Cordillera region since last month, the largest of these previous fires ravaged 134 hectares in January, in the town of Itogon.
