Six hurt in Makati fire.
Six people were injured in a fire that hit a residential area in Barangay Sta. Cruz, Makati City. Three individuals complained of smoke inhalation while another experienced difficulty breathing. Meanwhile, one person sustained abrasions on the right ankle, while another one also had abrasions on the left elbow. All six individuals received first aid from medical personnel on scene, said the BFP.

Twin girls, 5, die in Tondo fire.
Twin five-year-old girls died in a fire that broke out in their house in Tondo. The girls were trapped in their room on the second floor of their hose at the corner of Yangco and Cavite streets in Gagalangin, according to radio reports. The flames spread quickly because while the structure was built of concrete, its flooring and walls were wood.

Fire hits school in Davao City and Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur.
Five facilities inside the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) in Barangay Mintal Proper, Davao City were gutted by fire. Mintal Fire Station Investigator, Senior Fire Officer Manuel Ronquillo, said the fire may have started at the Audio-Visual Room (AVR) of the Pamulaan Center for Indigenous People’s Education and spread to other rooms. The school dormitory was also razed by fire. Nearly 30 lumad students were affected and they will be placed under stress debriefing. No one was reported hurt in the incident while the damage to property was pegged at P500,000.

Mom, 3 kids die in Ozamiz City fire.
Four in a family, two of them twins born just last month, died from suffocation while inside their house in Barangay Tinago in Ozamiz City, Misamis Occidental that got razed by fire. The fire started from a power line from an electric post, connected to the apartment. Fire Senior Inspector Erwin Peter Macamay, acting Ozamiz City fire marshal, told reporters they could have saved the victims had villagers reported to them the incident promptly.

Mother & 8-month-old son in the Philippines found dead hugging each other after vehicle fire.
The bodies of a mother and her 8-month-old son were found hugging each other after a vehicle fire in Quezon Province. They were among the nine passengers of a tuktuk, or three-wheeled motorcycle, which caught fire after being involved in a multi-vehicle crash. The mother and son were among five family members who died in the accident. Three others in the tuktuk, along with its 32-year-old driver, sustained injuries. The tuktuk had reportedly burst into flames after being hit by a delivery truck from the back.
